Role Overview:
The Subject Matter Expert (Journeyman) provides specialized functional and technical expertise to support project execution and successful delivery. This role serves as a trusted advisor to project leadership and team members by offering guidance on complex domain-specific issues, validating requirements, reviewing deliverables for quality and compliance, and ensuring alignment with client objectives. The SME collaborates across multiple workstreams to identify risks, recommend solutions, and support implementation activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on functional, technical, financial management, or Oracle EPM-related topics, as assigned.
- Support requirements gathering, analysis, validation, and traceability activities.
- Advise project teams on industry best practices, methodologies, and standards.
- Review project deliverables to ensure quality, completeness, and alignment with contractual requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple workstreams to resolve issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and potential impacts related to project objectives.
- Participate in design reviews, testing activities, and implementation planning.
- Assist with knowledge transfer, documentation development, and stakeholder communications.
- Provide strategic recommendations to improve project outcomes and operational efficiencies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical, business, financial, or functional discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant domain experience in functional consulting, financial management, Oracle EPM configuration, or a related specialty area.
- Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and recommendations across multiple project workstreams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a client-facing environment.
- Federal Government or Department of Defense (DoD) program experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale implementation or transformation programs.
- Familiarity with Federal financial management, business processes, or enterprise systems.
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions.
- Professional certifications relevant to the assigned subject matter area are a plus.
The compensation range for this position is $125,500-160,500. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to location, skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
In addition, U.S Citizenship is required. Applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance.
