Job Description

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) designs and manufactures first-of-a-kind electromagnetic and electric power generation systems. GA-EMS’ expanding portfolio of specialized products and integrated system solutions support critical fleet, space systems and satellites, missile defense, power and energy, and process and monitoring applications for defense, industrial, and commercial customers worldwide.

We are seeking an experienced Integration and Test Lead Analyst to provide planning, analysis, coordination, and technical documentation support for complex aerospace and defense programs.

The successful candidate will develop and maintain test plans, procedures, schedules, readiness criteria, requirements traceability, configuration information, test records, risk documentation, and program status products. The position will coordinate with engineering, program management, quality, operations, and customer teams to support test readiness, verification and validation planning, technical reviews, anomaly resolution, and program milestones.

The analyst will integrate technical, cost, schedule, resource, and performance information; identify risks and opportunities for improvement; and support the development of repeatable methods, tools, processes, procedures, and standards. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting aerospace, defense, government, or other mission-critical programs through program planning, performance analysis, resource and schedule management, formal documentation, process development, and multidisciplinary team leadership.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Integrate technical, cost, schedule, resource, risk, and performance information to support program decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain integrated schedules, resource projections, performance metrics, milestones, risk information, and action-item status.
  • Analyze cost, schedule, technical, and test-performance trends and prepare recommendations for corrective action.
  • Develop, review, and maintain test plans, procedures, schedules, readiness criteria, reports, and related technical documentation.
  • Coordinate test objectives, requirements, resources, schedules, risks, and deliverables across engineering and program organizations.
  • Review system and subsystem requirements and support the development of verification and validation approaches and requirements traceability.
  • Support readiness reviews, integrated baseline reviews, technical interchange meetings, customer reviews, program assessments, and other formal program events.
  • Support system-level test activities by ensuring that approved procedures, applicable program and safety requirements, and configuration baselines are established, controlled, and maintained.
  • Maintain accurate test records, configuration information, requirements traceability, technical baselines, action-item status, and other required program documentation.
  • Document, track, and support the resolution of discrepancies, anomalies, risks, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate engineering and program teams during failure investigations and corrective-action activities.
  • Support integrated planning, resource projections, schedule development, performance measurement, and program milestone execution.
  • Evaluate contractor or subcontractor cost information, proposals, change requests, and associated program impacts, as applicable.
  • Prepare technical, programmatic, and executive-level reports, briefings, decision papers, status products, recommendations, and findings.
  • Develop and improve operational, administrative, technical, and team-management processes that promote consistency, visibility, compliance, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Assess and improve test methods, documentation practices, management processes, tools, and standards.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to less-experienced test analysts and project personnel.
  • Communicate status, risks, issues, resource needs, and results to technical teams, program leadership, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

We recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline and a minimum of nine or more years of related experience. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Significant experience supporting aerospace, defense, government, or other mission-critical programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in process assessment, cost or resource estimating, program planning, performance analysis, and schedule development.
  • Experience integrating technical, cost, schedule, resource, risk, and performance information to support program decisions.
  • Experience managing or coordinating people, resources, policies, processes, risks, and deliverables across complex organizations.
  • Experience developing, reviewing, implementing, and maintaining formal technical, programmatic, operational, governance, process, configuration, requirements, or executive-level documentation.
  • Experience developing processes and procedures and leading multidisciplinary teams to accomplish organizational or program objectives.
  • Experience with integrated team planning, resource projections, risk identification, performance measurement, and milestone management.
  • Experience supporting technical reviews, program assessments, readiness activities, or other formal milestone events.
  • Strong analytical, written, verbal, briefing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical and program information into clear reports, briefings, recommendations, and decision-support materials.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with multidisciplinary teams, customers, and senior leadership.
  • Proficiency with standard office, planning, scheduling, reporting, and technical documentation tools.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance or program authorization is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting formal readiness reviews, technical reviews, customer reviews, source evaluation boards, or program milestone events.
  • Experience developing organizational governance, process standards, operating procedures, or performance-management frameworks.
  • Experience with cost, schedule, technical, or test-performance analysis.
  • Experience with government program-management, acquisition, or technical-review policies and processes.
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed, multidisciplinary, contractor-supported, or customer-facing teams.
  • Experience preparing executive-level briefings, decision papers, technical reports, program recommendations, or policy analyses.
  • Prior experience mentoring analysts, engineers, project personnel, or other technical staff.
Work Environment
  • The position may require work in office, laboratory, manufacturing, integration, or test-site environments. The employee may occasionally be required to work extended hours, weekends, or alternate shifts to support test activities and program schedules.
  • Additional physical, travel, safety, and clearance requirements should be added based on the assigned program and work location.
