The team is seeking a talented, creative, and motivated individual to strengthen its ability to provide rapid and innovative solutions to challenging problems. The successful candidate is a cross-functional leader responsible for driving the operational execution of engineering development and prototype manufacturing from planning through assembly, integration, and delivery.
This role integrates program management, supply chain planning, supplier management, engineering manufacturing execution, and operational readiness to ensure prototype hardware is delivered to programs on time, within budget, and to the required quality and technical specifications. The candidate will be responsible for translating engineering technical data packages into clear, accurate, and executable manufacturing processes within the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
This role serves as a critical interface between Engineering and Fabrication, converting drawings, bills of material, specifications, assembly requirements, inspection criteria, and other technical data into digital work instructions, routings, build sequences, and manufacturing documentation that enable efficient and repeatable prototype hardware builds. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes, is highly detail-oriented, and can translate complex technical requirements into practical instructions for manufacturing personnel. The role will support prototype builds across electronics, mechanical, cable, chassis, and electro-mechanical assemblies.
Responsibilities:

- Develop manufacturing documentation for prototype hardware including PCBA, cable/harness assemblies, machined components, chassis/enclosures, and electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Partner with manufacturing personnel to validate work instructions and ensure processes are practical, clear, and executable.
- Update manufacturing instructions based on build feedback, engineering changes, lessons learned, and process improvements.
- Support rapid-turn prototype builds while maintaining appropriate configuration and revision control.
- Engineering and Manufacturing Interface – Collaborate with program engineers and planning team during design for manufacturing (DFM) reviews, kick-off meetings for high complexity hardware, and readiness reviews.
- Quality and Configuration Control – Incorporate inspection requirements, acceptance criteria and required documentation into manufacturing processes. Support non-conformance resolution by updating manufacturing instructions and coordinating dispositions where appropriate.
- Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency, clarity, scalability, standardized approaches, and the evolution of prototype manufacturing and use of the digital tools.
