Duties
This position is located at the 161st ARW in Phoenix, Arizona. The purpose of this position is to accomplish budget formulation, trend analyses, and execution evaluation of federal funds provided by the ANG and other Department of Defense (DoD) components to the assigned unit. This position is independently responsible for the overall budget function in organizations, as determined by the Financial Manager. Accomplishes budget functions in support of state and federal ANG operations, training, and readiness missions.
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must possess at least 1-year specialized experience, education, or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Must have experience, education, or training of finance budget competencies that provided knowledge of financial principles and procedures. Candidate must have an excellent understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the National Guard financial budget business program requirements. A candidate must
have experiences and training that demonstrates the abilities to follow directions, to read, retain, and understand a variety of instructions, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Education
You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.

Requirements
Conditions of employment
- ARIZONA AIR NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. Prior to appointment into this position, selectee must be a current member of the Arizona Air National Guard, in a military position assigned to 161st.
- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
- Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a trial period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- Incumbent must possess and maintain a current state driver's license.
- Incumbent must possess FM Certification Level 1.
- This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d. (cont.)
- Incumbent shall comply with the requirements of this certification program. Individual must possess level 2 certification within 24 months of appointment.
