Apex Systems is currently hiring for a Systems Engineer (Level 3/4) with a leading aerospace and defense client supporting advanced weapons systems programs. This is an opportunity to work on highly visible defense initiatives involving the development, integration, verification, and sustainment of mission-critical weapon platforms supporting national security objectives.
Project Details / Mission Supported:
Support advanced weapons system programs including precision-guided munitions and related defense technologies.
Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, testing, and program leadership teams to ensure system requirements are properly integrated and verified.
Contribute to digital engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) initiatives supporting next-generation aerospace and defense capabilities.
Qualified Candidates Will Have the Following Experience and Skills:
3+ years of Systems Engineering experience supporting complex technical products or systems
Experience with requirements development, decomposition, traceability, verification, and validation
Experience supporting system integration activities throughout the engineering lifecycle
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams
Experience participating in technical reviews, design evaluations, and engineering trade studies
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field
Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or similar platforms
Experience supporting aerospace, defense, weapons, missile, avionics, sensor, or related systems preferred
Experience with MBSE methodologies, Cameo, SysML, or similar modeling tools preferred
Location: St. Charles, MO
Onsite Expectation: Onsite
Clearance Level: Active Secret Clearance is preferred. Must be willing to obtain one during employement
Salary/Pay Range: $60-$70/hr
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance as a condition and continuation of employment.
