Job Description
CLIENT'S ORIGINAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position: Senior Okta Engineer
Number Needed: 3
Certification Required: Okta Certified Administrator
Experience Required: 8+ years in enterprise Okta ICAM Identity and Access Management and Authorization support for a federal customer
Brief description: Okta Integration Engineer provides the hands-on configuration required to securely connect legacy workloads to the centralized Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) platform. Rather than directing high-level strategy, this engineer executes the technical integration of NIPRNet applications by implementing single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and identity federation protocols such as SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OIDC. Working directly with application owners, the engineer triages legacy authentication methods, resolves API integration defects, and pushes access policies through automated CI/CD pipelines. By troubleshooting identity synchronization errors, executing established enablement pathways, and ensuring all integrated endpoints meet phishing-resistant authentication standards, the Okta Engineer acts as the frontline technical force delivering continuous Zero Trust Application Access across the enterprise.
location: Remote, within driving distance of AF CAC issuing site
Start Date: Immediately
Clearance Required: Active Secret
