Dewberry is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our growing Water Resources group in our New York City, NY office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of energetic, highly engaged staff in Dewberry’s growing Water Market Sector. The ideal candidate will have people management skills along with proven technical expertise in water resources engineering, proposal development, marketing and business development in the New York City metropolitan area.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage water resources engineering projects, including planning, design, and implementation.
• Develop and implement strategies for proposal development and business growth.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide innovative engineering solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and support staff.
• Stay current with industry trends and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in water resources engineering.
• Strong understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, and water distribution systems.
• Experience with project management and client interaction.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a related engineering field.
• Experience with water treatment and wastewater systems.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards in the water resources sector.
