What's a typical day as Environmental Health & Safety Tech? You'll be:
  • Supporting the EHS department on projects through document review, development, and training support.
  • Managing project tracking, weekly updates, and summary reporting.
  • Creating and updating operations, system, and program documents.
  • Assisting with SOP, Form, and Work Instruction management, distribution, and tracking.
  • Performing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and assisting in compliance with all EHS programs.
  • Supporting SDS compliance, chemical inventory, incident reporting, auditing, and regulatory inspections.
  • Coordinating ISO, safety, environmental, water, and energy management systems, as well as security and recycling programs.
  • Assisting with hazardous/non-hazardous waste management and truck haul coordination.
  • Supporting industrial wastewater pre-treatment compliance and OSHA forklift training/certification.
  • Managing training documentation and tracking in the Ensur system.
  • Creating KPI presentations, training materials, and other EHS-related presentations.
  • Ensuring compliance with company SOPs and policies, with additional duties as needed.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have a High School Diploma or GED (required); College degree preferred.
  • Are certified in RCRA, ISO 9001/14001/45001/46001/50001, OSHA 30 Hours in Construction or General Industry (preferred).
  • Possess strong technical competency, organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Are comfortable with project management and teamwork.
  • Can read, write, and speak English (Spanish language skills preferred).
  • Have experience with document control software (MS3, Ensur, etc.) and Microsoft Office.
  • Can maintain confidential information and operate standard office equipment.
  • Can understand and interpret regulations, and maintain high levels of quality and innovation.
  • Are able to operate a sit-down propane forklift and scissor lift (preferred).
  • Meet physical requirements: standing/sitting for extended periods, lifting up to 25 lbs, bending, climbing ladders, and visual acuity for close-range details.
