Summary:
• Administer and engineer large-scale distributed Hadoop and Accumulo clusters in mission-critical Linux environments.
• Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications utilizing Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and persistent storage solutions.
• Develop automation scripts and maintain infrastructure as code to streamline operations and ensure system reliability.
• Enhance observability and monitoring frameworks using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, and Splunk.
Qualifications & Compensation:
• Degree: Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Years of experience: 5+ years
• Total Compensation: $269k+ yearly
Job Description:
• Administer, tune, and maintain distributed storage systems and large-scale Hadoop and Accumulo clusters
• Deploy and configure containerized workloads with Kubernetes, Helm charts, StatefulSets, and Docker
• Develop automation and configuration management code using Bash, Python, Ansible, Puppet, Salt, and Terraform
• Implement and support observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and OpenSearch
• Troubleshoot complex hardware, network, OS, and cloud platform issues and perform root cause analysis
• Harden Linux systems, apply security patches, and maintain compliance standards
• Perform network and storage administration including VLANs, load balancers, TCP/IP tuning, and RAID/object storage
• Provide responsive incident triage, capacity planning, and operational support in high-tempo environments
