Job Description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career, and customer-oriented Application Technical Manager to join our team at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington. This is an on-site position.
As an Application Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of the Navy's Logistics Data System (LDS). This role includes planning, development, and troubleshooting to ensure that LDS operates efficiently while supporting mission-critical operations. You will work in a dynamic environment with opportunities for technical growth and innovation.

As an Application Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of the Navy's Logistics Data System (LDS). This role includes planning, development, and troubleshooting to ensure that LDS operates efficiently while supporting mission-critical operations. You will work in a dynamic environment with opportunities for technical growth and innovation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Serve as a Primary Point of Contact (POC) for the management of LDS
- Provide exceptional customer support to a diverse client base with varying needs
- Act as the liaison between Users and Developers to manage system enhancement requests and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
- Manage scheduling for the installation, integration of hardware, system fixes, updates, and enhancements
- Troubleshooting Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), including both Oracle and Microsoft SQL
- Utilize Structured Query Language (SQL), including table relationships and views, to perform data queries, data surgery and troubleshooting
- Apply strong root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills throughout the TCP/IP stack
- Resolve complex and non-routine technical issues in a timely and efficient manner
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related Scientific discipline with 2+ years of IT experience, particularly in IT System Administration or related fields, or a High school with 6+ years of equivalent experience in related fields can be substituted for a degree
- Must possess an active IAT II Cybersecurity Workforce IA Certification, e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP, CCNA Security, CySA+, etc.
- Must be able to obtain an Operating System Certificate (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate) within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) and the protection of Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program Information (NNPI)
- RDBMS experience, ex., Oracle or Microsoft SQL
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to create reports and manipulate data in response to customer requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency with both Microsoft Windows Server 2016+ and Unix Operating Systems
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current or active Secret security clearance
Physical Requirements:
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
