This Lead System Engineering position is an exciting opportunity based in Colorado Springs, CO that encompasses dimensions of system engineering and assisting leadership with knowledge of systems development, engineering, and integration. The successful candidate, as part of our engineering team, will work with our management, product, and IR&D teams to help create strategic technical visions, build successful solutions for executing programs, and strengthen our market domination.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000

This Lead System Engineering position is an exciting opportunity based in Colorado Springs, CO that encompasses dimensions of system engineering and assisting leadership with knowledge of systems development, engineering, and integration. The successful candidate, as part of our engineering team, will work with our management, product, and IR&D teams to help create strategic technical visions, build successful solutions for executing programs, and strengthen our market domination.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead the System Engineering team to ensure all contractual requirements and deliverables are met.
- Chair/Host/Support program Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and System Engineering IPTs
- (SEIPTs)
- Ensure timely and accurate CDRLs are submitted according to customer prescribed schedule
- Requirement's analysis
- System design
- System documentation updates
- Work closely with system developers, test, and on-site user support personnel to support system updates, analyze and resolve system issues, and ensure project objectives are met.
- Provide technical advice to our customers on architectures and potential solutions
- Develop and deliver effective customer presentations (support design reviews, status reports, kickoff meetings, test plans) demonstrating an ability to communicate comfortably at a system level
- Attend and support highly technical engineering team meetings
- Travel as necessary to attend conferences and customer meetings
Experience and Skills
- 5+ years engineering experience
- BS in SE, CS, EE, ME, or other engineering equivalent
- Active Secret Clearance with that ability to obtain a TS/Sci
- Support programs through SRR, PDR, CDR or equivalent design reviews
- Execute effective Risk Management practices
- Leverage modern IT infrastructure capabilities to include virtualization, cloud deployment and containerization
- Collaborate proactively with multiple groups of developers, engineers, and testers
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and confidently in both oral and written formats for internal teams, customer, and users
- Apply working knowledge of space systems, including ground systems, satellite command and control, RF systems, and system development processes
- Utilize DOORS (desirable)
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Specify any preferred skill sets that are "nice-to-have" but not minimum requirements (as necessary):
- Apply experience with satellite ground systems
- Utilize knowledge of the SCN
- Experience with SATCOM mission planning
- Implement and execute SecDevOps processes and related Agile practices
- Security+ certification is not required but is beneficial to the position
