SKILLS REQUIRED
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in DoW/DoN program management, naval aviation maintenance management, or defense acquisition logistics.
• Proven experience building schedules, tracking milestones, and managing budgets.
• Demonstrated track record of briefing military leadership (O-5/O-6, GS-14/15, SES).
• Exceptional critical-thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex maintenance/supply analytics into actionable summaries.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, including conceptualizing, designing, and authoring briefings and executive dashboards from scratch.
• Intermediate-to-advanced Microsoft Excel modeling proficiency (pivot tables, complex formulas) for financial tracking.
• Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• This position leads day-to-day operational planning, stakeholder coordination, and financial execution for a Navy aviation fleet sustainment team and reports to the team’s Product Support Manager.
• The role serves as the central operational integrator for the team across Navy aviation platforms, fleet units, maintenance and supply organizations, depot facilities, and industry partners, ensuring warfighter readiness by synchronizing O-Level and I-Level maintenance training, managing sustainment budgets through the POM cycle, tracking supply and readiness trends, and briefing senior leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan, synchronize, and execute the fleet training and travel schedule for all supported Navy aviation platforms.
• Evaluate fleet failure data and squadron/I-Level trend reports to schedule focused technical assist visits and training interventions.
• Conduct pre-training briefs, assist with Post-Trip Reports, and track post-deployment action items to closure
• Coordinate with fleet units, maintenance leadership, and supply officers before major workups and deployments.
• Author and manage Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to establish, certify, and sustain organic I-Level repair capability.
• Manage program funding requirements through the POM and PRL processes and oversee non-POM annual sustainment funding.
• Compile quarterly cost avoidance reports and track lifecycle cost savings and return on investment.
• Consolidate weekly team inputs and build decision-quality PowerPoint briefings for the Product Support Manager and program reviews.
• Represent the program office at cross-platform program meetings and coordinate an annual logistics working group.
• Maintain team onboarding briefs, capabilities overviews, and the Fleet Point of Contact directory.
• Track parts availability and critical component backorders for deployed fleet units.
• Liaise with systems engineers, Configuration Management leads, OEMs, and depot facilities to resolve fleet technical inquiries and support engineering change proposal (ECP) rollouts.
• Design and maintain the team’s Microsoft Teams and SharePoint workspaces.
