Job Description

1. Role Overview / Mission

Advantech GS Enterprises is hiring a Project Scheduler to build and maintain the program schedules for the Horizon program. You'll turn plans into realistic, trackable schedules and help the client team use scheduling best practices to stay on course. This position is funded and ready to start now, so your schedules will guide program decisions from day one.

2. What You'll Do (Day-to-Day Responsibilities)

Build, update, and maintain integrated program schedules in Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software.
Work with program leads and technical teams to collect task status, durations, and dependencies, and keep the schedule current.
Track critical path and key milestones, and alert leadership early when slips or conflicts appear.
Guide the client on scheduling best practices, such as logic links, baselines, and realistic durations, so the schedule stays reliable.
Produce clear schedule reports, charts, and briefing slides that help leaders make decisions.
Use Microsoft Teams and the Office Suite to share schedule updates and keep everyone working from the same version.
Learn new tools, processes, and program details quickly as Horizon evolves.

3. What Success Looks Like

At 90 days:

You understand Horizon's scope, milestones, and key stakeholders.
You own the program schedule and update it on a steady, predictable cycle.
Program leads trust your schedule reports and use them in their meetings.
You've identified gaps in the current schedule, such as missing logic or outdated baselines, and started fixing them.

At 1 year:

The program schedule is accurate, well-structured, and used as the single source of truth.
Leadership gets early warning of schedule risks, with time to act.
The client team follows the scheduling practices you've introduced.
You're seen as the go-to expert for questions about program timeline and dependencies.

4. What You Bring (Required Skills & Experience)

3+ years of experience managing project schedules.
Experience with Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software.
Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Teams for collaboration.
The ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly.
A cooperative working style and strong teamwork.
The confidence to guide a client through scheduling best practices.
An active TS/SCI clearance.
A bachelor's degree.
5. Nice-to-Haves (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience with Navy SIGINT systems.
A master's degree.
PMP certification.
Agile certification(s).

If you meet the required qualifications but not every preferred one, we still encourage you to apply.
