Job Description
1. Role Overview / Mission
Advantech GS Enterprises is hiring a Project Manager to help the RTSO Assistant Program Manager (APM) run a Department of Defense program. You'll handle the planning, coordination, and follow-through that keep the program on schedule and its stakeholders aligned. This position is funded and ready to start now, so your work will shape program results from your first week.
2. What You'll Do (Day-to-Day Responsibilities)
Support the RTSO APM with program planning, tracking, and reporting, and respond quickly when priorities change.
Coordinate with government leads, technical teams, and partner organizations so everyone knows the current status, decisions, and next steps.
Prepare briefings, meeting materials, action-item trackers, and written updates that leaders can use right away.
Track program actions and deadlines, raise risks early, and follow each issue until it's resolved.
Help monitor program spending against the spend plan, and flag variances before they become problems.
Use Microsoft Teams and the Office Suite to organize shared information and make collaboration easier for the whole team.
Learn new systems, tools, and program concepts quickly, and share what you learn with teammates.
3. What Success Looks Like
At 90 days:
You know the RTSO program's goals, key stakeholders, schedule, and reporting rhythm.
You run the action-item tracker and status reporting on your own, with little direction needed.
The APM relies on you for meeting preparation, follow-up, and on-time deliverables.
You've identified at least one way to improve how the team tracks or shares information, and put it in place.
At 1 year:
Stakeholders see you as a dependable point of contact for program status and coordination.
Program deliverables and milestones you support are met on time, with risks raised early rather than discovered late.
You contribute to financial and spend-plan tracking that gives leadership an accurate, current picture.
The APM can hand you larger pieces of program work and count on them being completed.
4. What You Bring (Required Skills & Experience)
10+ years of professional experience supporting the Department of Defense.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, both written and spoken.
A flexible, responsive approach focused on results.
Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Teams for collaboration.
The ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly.
A cooperative working style and a track record of strong teamwork.
An active Secret clearance.
A bachelor's degree.
5. Nice-to-Haves (Preferred Qualifications)
An active TS/SCI clearance (highly desired).
Experience with Navy SIGINT systems.
Business financial management or spend plan management experience.
A master's degree.
PMP certification.
Agile certification(s).
If you meet the required qualifications but not every preferred one, we still encourage you to apply.
