Tite: Data Scientist
Client: Defense Intelligence Threat Library (DITL)- DIA
Location: Charlottesville, VA (Hybrid)
Responsibilities:
Conducts data analysis, data engineering, data mining, exploratory analysis, predictive analysis, and statistical analysis, and uses scientific techniques to correlate data into graphical, written, visual, and verbal narrative products; designs and implements data storage using relational and nonrelational databases, writes scripts to cleanse and optimally transform data for its intended use, creates AI/ML-based tools that enhance analyses and automate processes, integrates Al tools/capabilities into software development applications, evaluates and communicates risks associated with AI/ML implementations.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of Data Scientist experience supporting software development, analytics, or mission focused systems
• Experience applying statistical modelling, machine learning, and data mining techniques to real world datasets, demonstrating proficiency in Python, R, or Scala
• Experience building data models and analytic capabilities that integrate into production software systems
• Experience supporting the DoD, the intelligence community, or other federal agency programs
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
• Strong background in SQL and experience with PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch Working knowledge of cloud- based data environments
• Certified in machine learning, data analytics, or cloud platforms
• IAT Level II or III certified
• Active Top Secret clearance
