Vaxcom Services LLC (a Parsons company) is looking for a talented Armed Program Security Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to lead, train, and develop a cadre of armed security guards working at a sensitive Sponsor facility in San Antonio, TX.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Interfacing and acting as liaison with multiple partners and stakeholders to communicate program activities and operations.
  • Directing, coordinating and overseeing all activities of the on-site security staff. Including supervisory, training, and operational functions at the assigned post in accordance with post orders and Sponsor instructions, and in compliance with all internal procedures.
  • Coordinating all aspects of the security contract at the assigned location.
  • Ultimately responsible for the supervision, coaching, mentoring, and training of all program employees including a de facto Site supervisor and team leads. (as appropriate). This will include performance management to address less than successful performance.
  • Conducting interviews, making hiring recommendations and executing site-specific orientations/meetings.
  • Acting as the first point of contact regarding performance, operations, emergency response activities, and department needs.
  • Responsible for shift scheduling and payroll coordination at the assigned Site.
  • Maintaining proficiency in the use of all assigned equipment and weapons.
  • Observing and reporting activities and incidents, providing required documentation to company management and Sponsor representatives.
  • Will interact with senior representatives/leaders from the Sponsor and our company on a daily basis and be the primary point of contact for problem resolution, program changes/enhancements, and business development opportunities.
  • Prepare logs and reports as required; review logs and reports from your subordinates.
  • Other ad hoc responsibilities as assigned.


What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelors Degree plus 5+ years of related physical security experience (to include armed security experience) or high school diploma plus 8+ years of experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Experience interacting with senior representatives from both your own organization and those from Sponsors whom you support.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve issues at the lowest level ensuring all stakeholders are kept apprised.
  • Demonstrated success in providing mentoring/coaching to teammates and subordinates to improve performance and give career advice.
  • Experience working with sensitive Sponsors at their sites.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays on an "as needed" basis. This will include availability for after hours calls for emergency situations.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills to include written, verbal, and briefing.
  • Flexibility to take on ad hoc responsibilities and prioritize competing assignments/tasks.
  • Must possess a TS/SCI with a polygraph at the time of application.


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or a security related field.
  • 3+ years experience leading and managing teams of 10+ people/ preferably in a 24/7 operational facility.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Sponsors leadership to address and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Familiarity of contract/program/project management.
  • Experience working as an armed security manager at a sensitive site managing all aspects of a physical security program.
  • 3+ years experience in either law enforcement, department of corrections, or the US Military.
  • Experience performing incident investigations and writing related reports to be consumed by Sponsor and Company leadership.


Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $196,400.00
