SAIC has an immediate opening for an experienced System Engineer to provide technical support to our exciting program, based in Chantilly. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including systems services administration, server provisioning, network integration, repository management, network-attached storage management, hardware administration, and document and compliance management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including systems services administration, server provisioning, network integration, repository management, network-attached storage management, hardware administration, and document and compliance management.
Qualifications
- Candidates must have a TS/SCI and Poly in order to be considered for the position
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technology field, or equivalent industry experience
- Experience in administering Linux systems
- Expertise in configuring and administering Juniper and Cisco network devices
- Proficiency in managing network infrastructure hardware, including KVM switches, terminal servers, etc.
- Competency in setting up and managing virtualized environments such as VMWare and KVM
- Knowledge in managing power and environmental network hardware, including UPS, Remote Power Control (RPC), and rack cooling systems
- Skills in the configuration and administration of NAS devices, specifically QNAP and Synology
Desired Experience:
- Juniper/Cisco Configuration administration experience
- Experience with optical systems and testing hardware including OTDR, OSA, and power meters
- Skills and experience in managing projects effectively
- Master's or PhD in Engineering or Technology
