Your impact
Jacobs Digital and Data National Security Group is seeking a Growth and Strategy Director to lead business development across traditional service-based acquisitions and product sales. This leader will engage defense, intelligence community, and commercial customers; apply expertise in customer acquisition practices; and work with Jacobs’ technical subject matter experts and business professionals to build a strong business base within the U.S. Department of War and Intelligence Community.
Responsibilities:
Define and advance Jacobs’ National Security growth strategy for the defense and intelligence markets, and communicate that strategy to Jacobs leadership, customers, and industry partners.
Identify, qualify, and prioritize growth opportunities, and lead capture activities from initial assessment through contract award.
Lead proposal development and guide proposal decision milestones in coordination with technical, pricing, contracts, and delivery stakeholders.
Engage regularly with key customers and industry partners to understand priorities, shape opportunities, and develop differentiated solutions.
Establish growth goals, define performance metrics, and use established CRM tools to monitor pipeline health, capture progress, and results.
Develop business cases for Jacobs’ investment in innovative technologies that support entry into new markets and strengthen differentiated customer solutions.
Here's what you'll need:
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical and business concepts to executive, customer, and partner audiences; lead cross-functional teams; and evaluate technical solutions in support of growth decisions.
10+ years of experience in the defense industry in space, software, and/or secure compute platforms.
Experience navigating U.S. Government defense acquisition processes, including opportunity shaping, capture planning, and proposal decision milestones.
Demonstrated ability to build and sustain trusted relationships with defense, intelligence community, commercial, and industry partner stakeholders.
Ability to travel 25% of the time
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
Clearance Level:
TS/SCI, SAP eligible
Preferred:
Master’s degree in engineering or a related field
Prior service with the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Space Force, and/or an Intelligence Community organization.
