DevSecOps Configuration Management Specialist

Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD

Description: On-site in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD Our client seeks a DevSecOps Configuration Management Specialist to provide functional and empirical analysis, configuration management, and technical leadership for software development and deployment processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with DevSecOps practices, configuration management tools, and secure software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement configuration management strategies and processes for software development and deployment.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices throughout the SDLC.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage and maintain version control systems (e.g., Git) and artifact repositories.
• Conduct code reviews and security assessments to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
• Develop and maintain documentation for configuration management processes and procedures.
• Support agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, configuration management, or related field.
• Proven experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Git, SVN, Jenkins).
• Strong understanding of secure SDLC practices and security standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or DevSecOps certifications.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
