Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain software simulations and models for complex systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate simulation capabilities into larger systems.
- Perform detailed analysis and testing of simulation outputs to ensure accuracy and performance.
- Optimize simulation performance and scalability to meet project requirements.
- Document simulation design, implementation, and test results.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies in software simulation and modeling.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on simulation and modeling.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or Java.
- Experience with simulation tools and frameworks (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS, etc.).
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design patterns.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Active DoD security clearance required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with real-time simulation and embedded systems.
- Knowledge of system engineering principles and model-based design.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
