Journeyman NetOps Engineer

Job Description:

Overview:
By Light is seeking a Journeyman NetOps Engineer to join our team. This role involves monitoring, analyzing, and maintaining network operations to ensure optimal performance and security.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor network performance and identify issues
• Analyze network traffic and troubleshoot problems
• Implement and maintain network security measures
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless operations
• Document network configurations and changes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in network operations or related IT role
• Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
• Experience with network monitoring tools and security systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Security+
• Experience with cloud-based network solutions
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.)

Clearance:
Active Secret clearance required.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods, work in a office environment, and occasionally travel as needed.
