PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Enterprise Applications, in Miami, FL.
Job Description:
The Manager of Enterprise Applications supports the administration, configuration, and continuous improvement of Engineering's IFS ERP system, reporting to the VP of Information Technology and serving as a key resource for enterprise application functionality across finance, manufacturing, supply chain, and other business units.
Working under the direction of the VP of Information Technology, the Manager of Enterprise Applications partners with department leaders to help align IFS capabilities with operational needs, support system upgrades and integrations, and contribute to ensuring the platform enables accurate, efficient, and compliant business processes across the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to:
ERP System Administration & Configuration
• Support the administration of the IFS ERP system, assisting with configuration, security roles, and system settings under the direction of the VP of Information Technology.
• Manage user access, permissions, and licensing to ensure appropriate controls and compliance.
• Maintain master data structures and ensure data integrity across modules.
• Lead system upgrades, patches, and version releases, including testing and validation.
Business Process & Systems Improvement
• Partner with Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and other departments to identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency within IFS.
• Translate business requirements into system configurations, workflows, and reporting solutions.
• Lead cross-functional projects to implement new IFS modules, features, or third-party integrations.
• Evaluate and recommend enhancements to optimize system performance and user experience.
Reporting & Data Management
• Design and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics tools within IFS to support business decision-making.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across integrated systems.
• Support data migration, cleansing, and validation efforts during system changes or upgrades.
Security & Compliance
• Maintain system security protocols, including user role definitions and segregation of duties.
• Ensure IFS configurations align with internal controls, audit requirements, and corporate IT policies.
• Support internal and external audits by providing system documentation and access records.
Training & User Support
• Develop and deliver training programs and documentation for end users across departments.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex system issues, coordinating with IFS support and IT as needed.
• Provide ongoing support to resolve system errors, discrepancies, and user questions.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
• Manage the relationship with IFS support and vendor resources, including support tickets, contracts, and upgrade planning.
• Coordinate with HEICO corporate IT on enterprise system standards and integration requirements.
• Communicate system changes, downtime, and improvements to affected stakeholders.
Leadership & Supervision
• Supervise and mentor enterprise applications/IT team members supporting IFS, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Responsible for writing performance evaluations for direct reports.
• Provide coaching and professional development support to direct reports.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience administering or supporting an ERP system, with IFS experience strongly preferred.
• Strong functional and technical understanding of the IFS Cloud ERP system.
• 2+ years of leadership or project management experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with system configuration, workflows, and report writing tools within an ERP environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Understanding of manufacturing, finance, and supply chain business processes.
• Ability to translate business needs into system solutions and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Interact effectively with Team Members at all organizational levels.
• Able to maintain an appropriate level of confidentiality.
• Hands-on experience with IFS Build Studio, along with managing IFS Linux Middle-Tier and Management servers in a remotely hosted deployment.
• Oracle database administration experience preferred.
Work Environment
This position is performed primarily within an office and information technology environment, with regular interaction with Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, IT, and other business functions across the organization.
