Job Description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Configuration Manager to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. This position is onsite.
You will leverage your technical knowledge and experience with Navy shipbuilding configuration management processes to define baselines, control system changes, and support lifecycle sustainment across naval ship programs.

You will leverage your technical knowledge and experience with Navy shipbuilding configuration management processes to define baselines, control system changes, and support lifecycle sustainment across naval ship programs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Defining and maintaining configuration baselines to serve as reference points for future development, testing, and deployment.
- Reviewing, tracking, and approving changes to system configurations, hardware, or software components.
- Conducting regular audits of configuration items (CIs) to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Creating and updating configuration management plans, policies, and procedural documentation.
- Acting as a liaison between IT, operations, and development teams to resolve configuration issues.
- Evaluating and processing ship design Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and Proposed Change Work (PCW) submittals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or relevant field
- 3+ years of experience with Navy shipbuilding configuration management processes across acquisition, operation, maintenance, and lifecycle sustainment.
- Experience in the design, construction, and fleet introduction of Naval Ships, including design changes, ship alterations, and assessing their impact on configuration, operations, training, and lifecycle sustainment.
- Demonstrated experience evaluating and processing ship design Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and Proposed Change Work (PCW) submittals.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Model-Based Product Support (MBPS) Certification.
- Understanding of ITIL Service Configuration Management frameworks.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active Secret security clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and other standard equipment.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in all professional situations.
