Location: Remote with Travel

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Integration Engineer to lead Microsoft 365, email, and systems integration initiatives associated with acquisitions, divestitures, and enterprise technology modernization projects.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working in dynamic environments, and helping organizations transition from legacy platforms to modern cloud-based solutions. You will play a critical role in assessing technology environments, executing migrations, reducing technical debt, and aligning acquired businesses to enterprise standards.

Position Summary

You will play a critical role in assessing technology environments, executing migrations, reducing technical debt, and aligning acquired businesses to enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities
Microsoft 365 & Email Migrations
- Lead end-to-end Microsoft 365 migration projects, including discovery, planning, execution, validation, and post-migration support.
- Migrate environments from: Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Intermedia/Hosted Exchange, On-Premises Exchange
- Execute tenant-to-tenant migrations involving: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams
- Migrate mailboxes, domains, distribution groups, shared mailboxes, permissions, and related services while minimizing business disruption.
- Manage DNS, domain transitions, mail flow changes, and email authentication configurations.
Systems Integration & Modernization
- Conduct onsite and remote technology assessments for newly acquired organizations.
- Evaluate and document infrastructure, applications, servers, cloud environments, domains, and security risks.
- Develop migration strategies, remediation plans, and integration roadmaps.
- Support application, file server, and data migrations to approved enterprise platforms.
- Identify and remediate outdated, unsupported, duplicate, or high-risk technologies.
- Assist with technology integration activities related to mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
Engineering & Support
- Utilize PowerShell and migration tools to automate assessments, data collection, migrations, and validation activities.
- Troubleshoot complex Microsoft 365, Exchange, Outlook, identity, authentication, and mail flow issues.
- Support Windows Server, Active Directory, and Entra ID environments.
- Maintain security, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity standards throughout migration projects.
- Provide escalation support before, during, and after migration activities.
- Create technical documentation, knowledge transfer materials, and end-user training resources.
Collaboration
- Partner with infrastructure, cloud, security, networking, and application teams to ensure successful integrations.
- Communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and end users.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
- Travel to locations throughout the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom to conduct assessments, perform migrations, deploy equipment, and provide onsite support.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or integration engineering.
- Hands-on experience leading Microsoft 365 migration projects.
- Strong expertise with: Microsoft 365 Administration, Exchange Online, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Windows Server, PowerShell
- Experience performing tenant-to-tenant migrations involving Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Knowledge of DNS, email routing, domain management, and email authentication.
- Experience with migration tools such as BitTitan, AvePoint, Quest, or similar platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 65%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures (M&A).
- Experience with virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of backup, replication, and monitoring solutions.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud migration initiatives.
- Experience developing automation scripts using PowerShell.
- Microsoft, cloud, or cybersecurity certifications.
- Experience working within highly acquisitive or rapidly changing organizations.
Education
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
