Job Description

Position Title: Integration Engineer (M&A Technology Integration | Network Engineering | Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure)

Location: Remote with Travel

Travel Requirements: Up to 65% (U.S., Canada, Ireland, and UK)

Position Status: Multi-year contract

Position Description:

We're seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to lead technology integration and infrastructure modernization initiatives across a rapidly growing global organization.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role focused on M&A technology integration, infrastructure assessments, cloud migrations, network engineering, Microsoft 365 tenant consolidations, and enterprise transformation programs. You'll work directly with acquired businesses and internal stakeholders to evaluate environments, identify risks, and successfully integrate users, systems, applications, and infrastructure into enterprise-standard platforms.

What You'll Do

Lead M&A Technology Integration Projects
  • Conduct infrastructure, application, security, and operational assessments for acquired organizations.
  • Perform technical due diligence and identify integration risks, compliance gaps, and modernization opportunities.
  • Develop and execute technology integration and migration strategies.
  • Lead Microsoft 365 tenant migrations, cloud adoption initiatives, office consolidations, and infrastructure transitions.
  • Partner with business leaders, vendors, and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery and stakeholder alignment.


Network Engineering & Connectivity
  • Design, implement, and support enterprise networking solutions including:, LAN/WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, Cloud Connectivity
  • Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and related network infrastructure.
  • Maintain secure and scalable network architectures.
  • Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and infrastructure inventories.
  • Support security remediation and infrastructure lifecycle management initiatives.


Systems, Cloud & Infrastructure
  • Deploy, administer, and optimize Windows Server environments and core infrastructure services.
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, identity services, virtualization platforms, and enterprise applications.
  • Plan and execute server, endpoint, and application migrations.
  • Drive cloud transformation initiatives leveraging Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
  • Improve infrastructure reliability, scalability, security, and performance.
  • Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.


Business & User Enablement
  • Conduct site assessments and technology readiness evaluations.
  • Lead onboarding, migration, and adoption activities during integration events.
  • Minimize business disruption through effective planning and communication.
  • Provide technical leadership and knowledge transfer to internal teams and stakeholders.


What We're Looking For

Required Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, systems engineering, network engineering, or technology integration.
  • Strong expertise in: TCP/IP, Routing & Switching, VPN Technologies, Firewalls, Network Security
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft technologies, including: Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Azure
  • Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or other enterprise virtualization platforms.
  • Proven success leading infrastructure migrations, modernization programs, or large-scale technology transformation initiatives.
  • Strong project leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.


Preferred Experience
  • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) integration experience.
  • Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations.
  • Cloud migration and infrastructure modernization projects.
  • Consulting, professional services, managed services, or acquisition-driven environments.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, or similar platforms.


Education & Certifications

Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Relevant certifications are a plus, including:

  • Network+
  • Azure Certifications
  • Other cloud or infrastructure certifications


Additional Requirements
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Valid passport or ability to obtain one.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 65%, including domestic and international travel.
