Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Current Shift: Monday-Friday, 10:00 PM-6:00 AM
Clearance: Active TS/SCI required
Certification: IAT Level II or higher
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to support a highly secure government enterprise environment in San Antonio, TX.
This position is focused on hands-on Windows Server administration and will support the maintenance, configuration, security, and reliable operation of enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will bring experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, VMware, PowerShell, and DoD security-hardening practices.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments.
- Manage and support Active Directory.
- Configure and apply Group Policy Objects and local security policies.
- Administer and troubleshoot virtual environments using VMware.
- Support Remote Desktop Services.
- Install and configure server hardware, operating systems, applications, and supporting software.
- Develop and utilize PowerShell scripts to support administration and automation.
- Apply system security settings and industry/government security best practices.
- Implement and remediate applicable DISA STIG requirements.
- Utilize SCAP and related security-compliance technologies.
- Configure and manage Windows Task Scheduler.
- Create and maintain detailed system documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor and maintain computing resources across the enterprise.
- Work independently and collaboratively with network administrators and other technical teams.
- Review technical work and provide guidance when appropriate.
- Evaluate hardware and software solutions and provide technical recommendations.
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI U.S. Government security clearance.
- Current DoD IAT Level II or higher certification, such as Security+ CE.
- Bachelor's degree plus 4+ years of relevant Windows systems administration experience. Additional relevant experience, education, or training may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Hands-on Windows Server administration experience.
- Experience administering Active Directory.
- Experience with Group Policy Management and local security policies.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting VMware environments.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting.
- Experience supporting Remote Desktop Services.
- Experience installing and configuring system hardware and software.
- Experience implementing system-security settings and hardening requirements.
- Familiarity with DISA STIGs and SCAP.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS or other cloud-environment experience.
- Previous experience supporting DISA or other DoD environments.
- Linux administration experience.
- Solaris administration experience.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP and networking fundamentals.
- SAN/NAS experience.
- Experience with BMC Remedy or similar enterprise ticketing systems.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Familiarity with network and element management systems.
- Experience supporting highly virtualized enterprise environments.
Shift Information:
The current schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
