This role will offer you the following daily challenges:

Responsible for the management of supplier cost, schedule and technical performance on moderate-to-high-risk, modified Commercial Off The Shelf, performance specification and complex build-to-print subcontracts for commercial, DOD and international programs. Leads multifunctional subcontract management teams. Holds procurement delegation and signs supplier agreements and purchase orders within established authority.Leads the development of subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services for subcontract systems in support of development, production and global sustainment primes with multiple contract types.Prepares bid packages, conducts bidders' conferences, develops evaluation criteria, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions including price, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes subcontract packages, prepares awards and administers resulting subcontracts and required change activity.

Basic Qualifications

To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • 10 + years of experience in subcontract administration, procurement, or contract management within aerospace, defense, or similar regulated industries
    • Demonstrated track record of managing high-value (often multi-million-dollar) subcontract portfolios with multiple vendors
    • Experience overseeing the full subcontract lifecycle: solicitation, negotiation, award, performance monitoring, change management, and close-out
  • Strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other relevant contract clauses (e.g., cost-plus, fixed-price, time-and-materials)
  • Familiarity with cost estimating, price analysis, and earned-value management
  • Knowledge of risk-management practices and mitigation strategies for subcontract performance
  • Proficient use of MS Office suite
  • Proficient use of document management tools (e.g. SharePoint)
  • You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US TOP SECRET clearance ,to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.


Desired Skills

To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

  • Experience developing strategic sourcing roadmaps, negotiation planning, structuring complex multi-party deals, capturing value-creation opportunities, and maintaining audit-ready documentation
  • Expert knowledge of FAR/DFARS clauses and ITAR/EAR
  • Space systems and operation expertise
  • Experience monitoring supplier health, creation of recovery plans, leading root-cause corrective-action investigations, implementing corrective actions, and integrating lessons learned
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) to track cost-schedule performance
  • Experience crafting concise, audience-tailored briefing decks, leading alignment workshops, supporting gate decisions, and maintaining audit-ready records
  • Extensive experience devloping junior staff and fostering cross-functional collaboration


Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $123400.00 - $229200.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
