Comprising more than 130 personnel, the Integrated Warfare Systems Group (IWSG) delivers expertise across program and project management, acquisition and contracting, systems and digital engineering, software development, test and evaluation, sustainment and life-cycle management, cybersecurity, international/Foreign Military Sales, strategic communications, and IT services. These capabilities support more than 100 Above Water Sensor, Undersea, and Combat System programs and projects within the Navy's Portfolio Acquisition Executive for Mission Systems, Maritime and Munitions, as well as clients at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, and the Office of Naval Research.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Logistician to support PMS 400D and Supervisor of Ships Gulf Coast (SUPSHIP GC) with construction of new DDG 51-class ships. This is an on-site position at Ingalls Shipyard, Pascagoula, MS.

Anticipated tasking includes:
  • Manage Government Furnished Material (GFM) and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) with focus on Lost Damaged Destroyed (LDD) parts. Received LDD notices from shipyard workers and engages with vendors and Government offices to locate replacements. Prepares LDD reports for SUPSHIP GC.
  • Manage disposition of residual GFE before sail-away. Advise Project Office to obtain approval and track all cannibalizations of GFE.
  • Provide GFM support to Aegis Test Team (ATT) through all phases of testing, in particular supporting Installation and Check-Out (INCO) process.
  • Participate in weekly Production and Test Status meetings and other meetings as directed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma (or equivalent) plus seven (7) years relevant experience, OR Associates Degree plus five (5) years of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience performing Integrated Logistics Support and/or Product Support for new construction ships
  • DoD Secret clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment
  • Reports to an office at Ingalls Shipyard, up to 100% of the time, based upon the needs of the client

Desired Qualifications:
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance, and the ability to maintain it throughout employment
  • Bachelor's degree and at least seven (7) years of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience focused on managing Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Installation and Check-Out (INCO) materials
