Position Title: AI Solutions Engineer - GenAI, AI Agents & Enterprise Integration
Location: New York, NY - Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
Clearance Requirements: None
Position Status: Contract through December 31, 2027
Pay Rate: $60-$65/hr+ W2, D.O.E.

Position Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced AI Solutions Engineer to design, build, integrate, and deploy enterprise Generative AI (GenAI) agents and autonomous workplace assistants. This role is highly hands-on and focused on building production-ready AI solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Virtual Agents (PVA), Azure OpenAI Service, Microsoft Graph API, Microsoft Dataverse, Azure AI Search, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and vector databases.

The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience taking enterprise AI solutions beyond proof-of-concept and into production. You will build intelligent agents, integrate them securely with enterprise applications and data, develop RAG-based knowledge solutions, and partner with architecture, product, security, and engineering teams to deliver scalable AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, test, and deploy enterprise conversational AI agents and autonomous workplace assistants using Microsoft Copilot Studio and Power Virtual Agents (PVA).
  • Develop Generative AI applications using Azure OpenAI Service, Large Language Models (LLMs), and prompt engineering.
  • Design agent topics, actions, prompts, workflows, orchestration, and business logic for employee-facing AI solutions.
  • Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using Azure AI Search and vector databases.
  • Integrate structured and unstructured enterprise data sources into AI agent and RAG solutions.
  • Develop secure integrations with enterprise applications and tenant data using Microsoft Graph API, Microsoft Dataverse, custom APIs, and API wrappers.
  • Design context-aware knowledge retrieval solutions while maintaining enterprise security, authentication, governance, and access controls.
  • Optimize prompts, retrieval, indexing, search, and contextual grounding to improve AI response accuracy and reliability.
  • Develop AI-enabled workflows and intelligent automations connecting agents with enterprise business processes.
  • Integrate Copilot Studio with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps where applicable.
  • Develop and support cloud-based AI applications using Microsoft Azure and Azure OpenAI services.
  • Participate in DevOps processes supporting application development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production operations.
  • Troubleshoot production issues involving AI agents, integrations, APIs, security, data access, workflows, and application performance.
  • Partner with architects, Product Owners, security teams, and engineering stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions.
  • Maintain technical documentation covering AI agents, integrations, APIs, workflows, and solution architecture.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and iterative software delivery.
Required Skills/Education:
  • Hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying enterprise AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio.
  • Experience with Power Virtual Agents (PVA) and Microsoft's conversational AI ecosystem.
  • Hands-on experience developing Generative AI applications using Azure OpenAI Service and LLMs.
  • Strong knowledge of prompt engineering, agent orchestration, agent workflows, and enterprise AI application development.
  • Experience designing and implementing RAG pipelines using Azure AI Search and vector databases.
  • Experience developing secure enterprise integrations using Microsoft Graph API.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dataverse and integrating AI applications with enterprise data.
  • Experience developing or consuming custom APIs and API wrappers to connect AI agents with enterprise applications and backend systems.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, authentication, security, governance, and data-access controls.
  • Experience developing and supporting solutions within Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with DevOps practices supporting software development, deployment, monitoring, and production operations.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with architects, Product Owners, security teams, engineers, and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience developing complex cloud flows and enterprise-grade automation using Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Experience developing applications and business solutions using Microsoft Power Apps.
  • Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with Copilot Studio, Dataverse, custom APIs, and backend enterprise applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure AI Foundry.
  • Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP).
  • Experience with Gemini Enterprise or other enterprise AI platforms.
  • Knowledge of enterprise AI security, governance, monitoring, and responsible AI practices.
  • Experience supporting production enterprise AI agents and intelligent automation solutions.
