Paralegal – Government Contracts
Position Summary
Performs a variety of clerical duties providing assistance to attorneys and contracting teams. The Paralegal analyzes the impact of legislative developments and administrative and judicial decisions, opinions, determinations, and rulings, performs substantive legal analysis of requests for information under the provisions of various acts; or other similar legal support functions which require discretion and independent judgment in the application of specialized knowledge of laws, precedent decisions, regulations, agency policies, and administrative proceedings. This role requires an organized, proactive individual capable of handling confidential matters and supporting contract and administrative functions in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires an organized, proactive individual capable of handling confidential matters and supporting contract and administrative functions in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the review and administration of federal government contracts, task orders, modifications, subcontracts, teaming agreements, NDAs, and related documents.
- Review Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), solicitations, amendments, and other procurement documents.
- Maintain organized contract and legal files, correspondence, modifications, certifications, and supporting documentation.
- Conduct legal and regulatory research involving federal procurement and government contracting matters.
- Assist with monitoring contractual obligations, reporting requirements, deadlines, deliverables, and compliance documentation.
- Support preparation and review of proposals, representations and certifications, contract correspondence, and other business documents.
- Assist with FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific regulatory research and compliance.
- Track contract modifications, renewals, option periods, notices, and other significant contractual actions.
- Support preparation of documentation related to claims, disputes, audits, investigations, or other contractual matters.
- Coordinate with internal departments to obtain documentation and information required for contract administration and legal review.
- Assist attorneys and company leadership with preparation of memoranda, correspondence, reports, and presentations.
- Maintain confidentiality of privileged, proprietary, personnel, and government information.
- Perform other legal and administrative duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, Legal Studies, Business Administration, or related field; paralegal certificate may be accepted in combination with relevant experience.
- Certification by one of the organizations below is desired.
- Certified Paralegal by National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA)
- Paralegal Advanced Competency Exam (PACE) or
- Paralegal Core Competency Exam (PCCE)
- 4 -6 years of paralegal, contracts administration, legal support, or related experience.
- Experience supporting federal government contracts strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of FAR and DFARS preferred.
- Strong legal research, writing, document-management, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret/MRPT security clearance.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
