Position Overview
PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Assistant 3 (Pre-Employment Investigations Associate) to support our onboarding and pre-employment investigation processes. This role is responsible for ensuring a seamless, customer-focused experience for new hires while coordinating with recruiters, hiring managers, security teams, and external vendors throughout the pre-employment process.
The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, excellent attention to detail, computer literacy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Assistant 3 (Pre-Employment Investigations Associate) to support our onboarding and pre-employment investigation processes. This role is responsible for ensuring a seamless, customer-focused experience for new hires while coordinating with recruiters, hiring managers, security teams, and external vendors throughout the pre-employment process.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the pre-employment investigation process.
- Engage with pre-hires to provide status updates, gather required information, and facilitate onboarding activities.
- Coordinate with Recruiting, Security, and other internal stakeholders to ensure candidates are cleared to start in compliance with company policies and government regulations.
- Initiate and track pre-employment investigations, including background checks and drug screenings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the onboarding and screening process.
- Administer tasks within Workday, ServiceNow, and other onboarding systems while maintaining accurate documentation.
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders via phone, email, and text.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation using Microsoft Office and company systems.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and the candidate experience.
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience, OR High School Diploma/GED with 6 years of related experience.
- Previous Human Resources experience, particularly in pre-employment investigations, onboarding, or related HR functions.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, and other business applications.
- Computer literacy and comfort learning new technologies.
- Reliable broadband internet access for remote work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong reading comprehension, listening, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience in onboarding, staffing, recruiting, and pre-employment investigations.
- Previous experience in an HR Service Center environment.
- Demonstrated excellence in time management and organization.
- Professional phone presence and exceptional customer support skills.
- Experience using:
- Workday
- ServiceNow
- Amazon Connect
