Job Description
Position Title: Media Specialist II
Location: Newport, RI
Clearance required: SECRET
Scope of Work: Provides mid-level Media Center engineering and operations support, maintaining and troubleshooting VTC and audiovisual systems and supporting cryptographic equipment for classified sessions.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot Media Center and VTC hardware systems
- Conduct diagnostic troubleshooting, fault isolation, and corrective maintenance
- Support cryptographic keying material loading, testing, and troubleshooting
- Prepare Media Center system designs, drawings, and topology maps
- Minimum education, years of experience, and skills in accordance with the NUWCDIVNPT labor category description for this position and level.
- Mid-level Media Center engineering and VTC troubleshooting skills
- Personnel supporting the classified and unclassified network infrastructure must hold the certifications required to support the systems in accordance with SECNAV M-5239.2
