Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficient in 3D CAD and other engineering tools & systems (e.g., Creo, Windchill, SAP, ANSYS)
- Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, structural, and powertrain systems
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of technical drawings and GD&T
- Experience taking designs from ideas to full production implementation
- Experience performing engineering calculations and data analysis
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, or Electrical Engineering
- Prior work experience in the client's industry
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced engineering degree
- Experience with commercial mowing products or parallel industries
- Experience with gasoline and diesel engines and engine systems
- Experience with design for manufacturing techniques
- Knowledge of systems engineering and/or Six Sigma methodologies
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Develop and implement design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance of existing products
- Manage the implementation of multiple moderate scope projects on a common timeline tied to a pre-determined implementation date
- Identify the root cause of identified issues and develop corrective actions to resolve them
- Collaborate within a cross-functional team to provide engineering support
