Sr. .Net Developer II

Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid 2-3 days in office)

Job Type: Permanent

Description:

Our client seeks a Sr. .Net Developer II to serve as a senior full-stack engineer and technical leader for complex .NET applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-level .NET solutions, with a strong focus on C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications using the Microsoft .NET framework.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, designers, and other developers to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Implement data access layers, business logic, and user interfaces using C#, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, and related technologies.
  • Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in .NET development.
  • Strong proficiency in C# and ASP.NET (MVC, Web API, or similar).
  • Extensive experience with SQL Server and database design.
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, TFS).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) and unit testing frameworks.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.

Clearance: Public Trust clearance may be required.
