Candidates must already possess an active Secret clearance to be considered.
Summary:
• Conduct threat hunt operations, analyze complex network traffic, and address customer operational requirements.
• Apply defensive cyber operations and data science methodologies to uncover and mitigate threats.
• Build intuitive data visualizations and perform operational research and statistical modeling.
• Utilize Python, SQL, Splunk, and cloud environments to automate capabilities and detect vulnerabilities.
Qualifications & Compensation:
• Degree: Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Years of experience: 9+ years
• Total Compensation: $274k+ yearly
Job Description:
• Champion threat awareness and coordination applications while leading threat hunt operations on big data platforms.
• Present threat hunt findings and analytic results through live interactive sessions and visualizations.
• Collaborate with operational teams to define cyber requirements, address gaps, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Perform quality assurance on resident platform data and evaluate incoming data feeds for operational relevance.
• Develop, deploy, and refine threat detection signatures utilizing SNORT, SIGMA, Yara, and YAML.
• Conduct deep network traffic analysis using tools such as Wireshark, TCP-DUMP, and Zeek.
• Leverage SIEM and SOAR technologies, including Splunk, Q-Radar, and Sentinel, for incident response and threat mitigation.
• Write queries and scripts in SQL, KQL, and Python to automate workflows and support analytic requests.
• Maintain situational awareness of emerging cyber threats and map adversary tactics to the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
Telework:
This position supports a hybrid work arrangement requiring up to four days per week on-site with partial telework permitted.
