Data Modeler

Our client, a leading Consulting company, is in need of a Data Modeler for an initial 12 month contract opportunity supporting a customer in New York City. This is a hybrid role with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. The Data Modeler will be supporting a SaaS Migration effort for an enterprise Financial Services customer. The Data Modeler will be responsible for translating business requirements into data structures, developing and maintaining conceptual, logical and physical data models, establish data standards, naming conventions, metadata, support database design, ETL / ELT Development, reporting, analytics and modernization initiatives, as well as maintain model documentation and communicate design decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Skills:

• 7 years of overall experience, with at least 3 - 4 years of Data Modeling experience.
• Experience with relational, dimensional and NoSQL data modeling.
• Experience using SQL to transition business requirements in functional databases.
• Experience with AllFusion ERwin to build, standardize and manage complex physical and logical database designs.
• Experience with Lucidworks to diagrams for presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Prior experience communicating and presenting to customer leadership.
• Knowledge of Embarcadero ER/Studio 2016.

Preferred or Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working within Benefits Administration.
• Experience supporting Data Lake Design and Development.
