About the Role
Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking experienced PRN Licensed Behavioral Health Specialists to support a federal behavioral health program in San Diego, California.
This is an onsite, as-needed opportunity for independently licensed clinicians who can provide behavioral health services to children and adolescents when additional program coverage is needed.
Already in the San Diego area? We'd love to hear from you.
Not local? We're also interested in qualified clinicians who are willing and able to travel to San Diego when PRN coverage opportunities arise.
And because California licensure is not required, clinicians with an active, unrestricted, independent license in another U.S. state or territory may be eligible.

Key Responsibilities
The PRN Licensed Behavioral Health Specialist will:
- Provide onsite behavioral health support to children and adolescents based on program coverage needs
- Conduct behavioral health assessments and provide short-term clinical interventions as appropriate
- Provide crisis intervention and behavioral health support in response to individual needs
- Apply trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches when working with children, adolescents, and vulnerable populations
- Support individuals experiencing stress, trauma, adjustment challenges, and other behavioral health concerns
- Collaborate with program leadership and multidisciplinary partners to support continuity and quality of services
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards
- Maintain required documentation in accordance with program requirements
- Provide flexible PRN coverage based on program and scheduling needs
- Support additional behavioral health and program activities as required
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Active, unrestricted, independent clinical license in any U.S. state or territory, including LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LCPC, LMHC, Psychologist, or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience
- Demonstrated experience working with children, adolescents, families, and/or vulnerable populations
- Experience with trauma, crisis intervention, behavioral health, or related clinical services
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to provide onsite PRN coverage in San Diego, California
- $80/hour
- Flexible, as-needed PRN opportunities
- No California license required
- Local San Diego clinicians strongly encouraged to apply
