Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research, analyze account activity, gather evidence, and document investigative findings.
  • Manage fraud cases throughout the investigation lifecycle, including detection, investigation, recovery, remediation, and resolution.
  • Support customers who have been victims of fraud while balancing fraud risk, regulatory requirements, and the overall customer experience.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate fraud case documentation and evidence in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify patterns, trends, and indicators of potentially fraudulent or suspicious activity.
  • Support AML, financial crime, and fraud risk management initiatives.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement and other appropriate authorities when necessary.
  • Present investigative findings and supporting evidence to internal stakeholders as required.
  • Handle complex, sensitive, and escalated customer complaints using professionalism, empathy, and effective de-escalation techniques.
  • Manage multiple investigations simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Follow established fraud prevention, investigation, escalation, and case management procedures.
Required Skills/Education:
  • 3-5+ years of fraud investigation, fraud remediation, or financial crime experience.
  • Hands-on experience with fraud detection, investigation, recovery, remediation, and resolution.
  • Experience investigating fraud involving customer accounts, employees, vendors, and/or third parties.
  • Strong fraud case management, evidence gathering, and investigative documentation skills.
  • Banking, financial institution, or broader financial services experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of AML, financial crime, suspicious activity, and fraud risk management principles.
  • Experience working in a high-volume, call center, or customer-facing environment.
  • Strong customer service and victim support skills, including the ability to navigate sensitive fraud situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, active listening, and de-escalation skills.
  • Strong investigative, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience handling executive-level or highly escalated customer complaints is a strong plus.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple investigations and competing priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Must be able to work the required hybrid schedule and participate in a Saturday rotation.
