What You Will Do :

• Assisting the analytical efforts around lender oversight, risk monitoring, and portfolio analytics.
• Employ the use of sound economic theories, statistical methods and risk modeling techniques in credit analytics by leveraging/building/providing (1) Enterprise Data Warehouse (2) Predictive scoring environment, (3) Tableau Business Intelligence dashboards, (4) Risk analytics and lender performance reporting, (5) Ad hoc reporting and analysis capabilities.
• Responsibilities also include performing ad hoc and periodic reporting (e.g. monthly, quarterly, annual) for client leadership and stakeholders, and documenting quality checks, data sources and methodologies performed and used during such reporting.
• The work may also require to collect, test, clean and combine data from multiple systems and assess data quality, consistency, and completeness and summarize statistical findings and provide written products of various types, including tables, charts, short summaries, as well as longer analytical memos and model documentation.

What You Will Need :

• Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD Public Trust; Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred
• Must be a US Citizen due to nature of client engagements
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, mathematics, statistics or in a related field.
• Three (3) to Five (5) Years of experience in financial data analysis / financial services consulting.
• Demonstrated experience in developing statistical, econometric and/or cash flow models in the credit analytics space and ability to apply academic research to econometric and modeling issues and present concise explanations of output.
• Must be able to work from Client office in Washington, DC at least Three (3) days a week.

What Would Be Nice To Have :

• Expertise in applying statistical approaches including, but not limited to, ordinary least squares (OLS), logistic regression and survival models.
• Proficiency with at least one statistical analytic tool such as R, Python or MATLAB.
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience in Loan analysis, credit analytics and portfolio management.
• Experience with Big4/Consulting experience.
• Familiarity with Small Business Administration (SBA) Loan Rules around eligibility, collateral management, and underwriting requirements.
• Experience with running statistical jobs in a cloud environment, such as the AWS.
• Experience drafting reports on various economic and financial topics for internal and external audiences.
• Ability to work with in a team with varying skill and knowledge levels.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
