Salary Statement

Estimated Starting Salary Range: USD $87,000.00/Yr. - USD $144,900.00/Yr. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
Description

• Requiring daily reporting to St. Julien's Creek Annex
• Providing waterfront support to afloat naval platforms
• Working on various naval platforms and within a lab environment
• Testing and troubleshooting NMT systems and associated systems
• Performing system-level software testing to accurately validate operational readiness
• Performing installation and verification tests on NMT systems
• Performing inspection and testing of installed antennas and antenna lines
• Assisting trouble shooting and repairing antennas as required
• Repairing electronics assemblies, cables, systems
• Reading, understanding, and interpreting technical reports and drawings
• Understanding of networking concepts
• Providing written and/or oral status updates of current system evolution, as well as support provided to LANT/PAC Fleet platforms to supervisor and In-Service Engineering Activity (ISEA) personnel
• Prioritizing tasks and strong ability to meet deadlines
• Performing ad-hoc tasking within contract scope

Requirements

• 12 or more years of hands-on experience maintaining and operating Naval satellite communications systems with specific experience with Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT), Advanced Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) Internet Protocol (ATIP), MD-1392 Enhanced Bandwidth Efficient Modem (EBEM), and SLM-5650 modem
• Completion of U.S. Navy Electronics Technician/Information System Technician "A" school (Surface/Sub-surface). Completion of Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT) AN/WSC-9(V) Ship and AN/FSC-138(V) Shore Maintenance course, Common Submarine Radio Room (CSRR) Maintenance Technician or SSN Radio Frequency (RF) Equipment Technician "C" school
• Troubleshoot, repair, isolate faults, and perform preventive/corrective maintenance on all AN/WSC-9(V) NMT variants and supporting baseband, cryptographic, or patching equipment
• Conduct Pre-Installation and Test Check-Out (PITCO) and System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT) on NMT and related satellite antenna systems
• Provide on-the-job training (OJT) to active-duty Navy sailors regarding proper SATCOM operations and hardware fixes.
• Test how NMT communicates alongside parallel systems like the Automated Digital Network System (ADNS) and Global Broadcast Service (GBS)
• Log all maintenance actions, track parts, and prepare detailed evaluation reports and conduct end of mission out briefs with stake holders
• Experience using RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, power meters, and time division reflectometers
• Ability to work on waterfront platforms during all seasons including standing/climbing/walking while lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying, pushing, or pulling heavy objects
• Security+ or able to acquire within six months

Clearance Information

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL

Travel Requirements

• Travel will occasionally be required to support SOVTs, SOTs, Technical Assists, etc. 25-50% annual CONUS and OCONUS travel including all major naval DOD/shipyard installations
