Position Description:
Join a dynamic team supporting Alabama Medicaid Agency as an AI Architect, specializing in the development and deployment of Generative and Agentic AI applications. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge AI solutions, including large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, and AI infrastructure management, making a meaningful impact in healthcare technology. The position is 100% on-site in Montgomery, AL, offering an exciting opportunity for a high-performing professional to lead AI system architecture, develop innovative tools, and ensure the security and compliance of AI applications in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining agentic and generative AI tools using Python; building and managing MCP servers for AI integration; deploying and troubleshooting AI models with Docker and vLLM; supporting knowledge bases for RAG; and delivering technical documentation and training. You will also collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with privacy standards such as HIPAA and aid in server and infrastructure support.

- Proven experience developing Python applications for Generative and Agentic AI solutions
- Hands-on experience with AI application architecture, development, testing, and deployment
- Expertise with Model Context Protocol (MCP), Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG, vLLM deployment, and Docker containerization
- Strong background in AI infrastructure support, security vulnerability remediation, and compliance with HIPAA standards
- Excellent technical documentation, user training skills, and team collaboration experience
