Job Description
Apex Systems is seeking a talented and dedicated Systems Engineer to become a member of an Agile team focused on IT Infrastructure (Systems Administration, Networking, & Hardware).
In this role you will:

• Join one of the portfolio's Agile (scrum) Systems Admin teams.
• Be involved in Windows or Linux system administration
• Using scripts to automate server administration and deployment
• Complete system patching
• Support user interactions
• Design new capabilities
• Maintain networks and data storage to ensure maximum up-time for development and operations
• Demonstrate your great work ethic, communication skills, creativity and problem-solving skills to make a lasting difference.
This position requires a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications
• Currently hold an active DOD 8570 certificate (Security+, etc.)
• Currently hold an active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain an SCI security clearance
• 3+ years of experience with IT administration
• Experience managing hypervisors such as RedHat OpenStack, Hyper-V, or VMWare
• Scripting with bash, PowerShell, python, etc.
• Experience with managing RHEL 9, Windows 11 and Server 2022, and network equipment
• Experience with IT system security hardening
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy.
Desired Skills
• Automate IT tasks using tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
• Seeks opportunities to take ownership of solving complex problems
• Cisco ISE knowledge
• Knowledge of OSI/ TCP-IP Model
