Job Description
Position Title: Engineer Systems II
Location: Newport, RI
Clearance required: SECRET
Scope of Work: Provides engineering support for network, telephone, and media infrastructure, performing design, integration, and analysis to enhance the NUWCDIVNPT communications environment.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Provide network, telephone, and media engineering services including design and integration
- Perform testing to verify functional requirements and analyze results
- Prepare system designs, drawings, topology maps, and technical specifications
- Develop feasibility studies, recommendations, and plans of action and milestones
- Minimum education, years of experience, and skills in accordance with the NUWCDIVNPT labor category description for this position and level.
- Engineering experience with network, telephone, or media systems
- Personnel supporting the classified and unclassified network infrastructure must hold the certifications required to support the systems in accordance with SECNAV M-5239.2
