Position Title: Engineer Systems III

Location: Newport, RI

Clearance required: SECRET

Scope of Work: Provides senior engineering support and technical leadership for network, telephone, and media infrastructure design, integration, and feasibility studies across NUWCDIVNPT and remote sites.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Lead network, telephone, and media engineering design and system integration 


• Design classified and unclassified network and VTC architectures and security controls 


• Conduct feasibility studies, cost/benefit analyses, and improvement recommendations 


• Provide senior technical review of engineering deliverables 

• This position is designated Key Personnel. Incumbent must be a DoD-Approved Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 3 individual (for example CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP or Associate, GCED, or GCIH). 


• Minimum education, years of experience, and skills in accordance with the NUWCDIVNPT labor category description for this position and level. 


• Senior engineering expertise in network, telephone, or media systems 


• Personnel supporting the classified and unclassified network infrastructure must hold the certifications required to support the systems in accordance with SECNAV M-5239.2


• Must hold a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CompTIA Linux+, and Intrusion Detection and Intrusion Protection training
