Job Description
Position Title: Media Specialist I
Location: Newport, RI
Clearance required: SECRET
Scope of Work: Provides Media Center and audiovisual support, operating and maintaining VTC studios, conference rooms, and DVS-G facilities for classified and unclassified events.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Operate and maintain Media Center facilities, MCU, and VTC systems
- Provide staged audio and visual services for command events
- Perform daily operational verification testing of Media Center systems
- Support setup of VTC communications over ISDN, IP, and DISA networks
- Minimum education, years of experience, and skills in accordance with the NUWCDIVNPT labor category description for this position and level.
- Audiovisual and VTC operations skills
- Personnel supporting the classified and unclassified network infrastructure must hold the certifications required to support the systems in accordance with SECNAV M-5239.2
