WORK ENVIRONMENT: Daily exposure to active construction site hazards, including extreme weather, high-decibel noise, toxic dust,
fumes, and heavy equipment operations, is encountered during field operations, which is needed to directly
monitor contractor compliance and enforce on-site safety standards. This hazard-intensive environment
requires the continuous and strict use of personal protective equipment, such as hard hats, safety harnesses,
steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection, and mandates participation in command-sponsored
medical surveillance programs to safeguard long-term health.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regular physical exertion, including climbing tall scaffolding, crawling into utility crawlspaces, standing for
long periods, and traversing rough, unpaved terrain 65% of the time, is needed to conduct thorough, handson
quality assurance and safety inspections in the field. This demanding physical layout is needed to ensure
the technician can safely access, inspect, and verify the structural integrity of remote project features, such as
roofs, trenches, and high elevations, requiring above-average agility, balance, and physical endurance.
This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.

- You will oversee the review of the contractor's quality assurance management program for compliance to contract specifications.
- You will manage projects for construction, renovations, and improvements to facilities.
