Senior Technical Advisor

Amentum is seeking a highly experienced and recognized technical leader to serve as a Senior Technical Advisor. The ideal candidate will have experience in microelectronics, hardware assurance and security, research and development (R&D), and emerging technologies. This role is designed to provide high-level technical leadership, advisory support, research direction, and mentorship to foster strategic growth. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on cutting-edge research and development efforts.

The successful candidate will leverage their extensive technical expertise to identify opportunities, close capability gaps, and shape strategic initiatives that advance mission effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and support the integration of leading-edge AI-based tools, analytical techniques, and advanced capabilities
• Design, refine, and assess state-of-the-art techniques, protocols, and procedures for semiconductor failure analysis, hardware assurance, and microelectronics characterization.
• Offer high-level mentoring, training, and knowledge sharing assisting in the development of the next generation of skilled professionals.
• Conduct in-depth evaluations of emerging and adjacent technologies for potential mission-critical applications.
• Serve as a trusted senior technical advisor, offering expertise on highly complex technical issues, research priorities, and development strategies.
• Participate in technical reviews, research discussions, and strategic planning efforts to provide proactive solutions that meet organizational objectives.

This is a Part-Time, Variable, On-Call position. Hours will vary based on program needs with no guarantee of hours per week. Flexibility is required and advanced notice will be provided when possible. This position is not eligible for benefits.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 25 years of professional experience in microelectronics, hardware assurance and security, R&D, and/or advanced technological systems.
• Active U.S. Government TS security clearance required to apply. (Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance)
• Ability to obtain and maintain SCI eligibility.

Desired Experience and Skills:

• Comprehensive understanding of hardware assurance, semiconductor failure analysis, microelectronics security, and advanced technology development.
• Experience with integrating artificial intelligence and machine learning into technical workflows and operational activities.
• Proficiency in identifying innovations in hardware, computation, and data analysis and applying them to solve advanced technical challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop technical teams to achieve organizational goals.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and advisory skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization.

Compensation Details:
$130 - $150 hourly
