Position Description/Summary:

The Building People is hiring an experienced Project Manager to lead facility operations and maintenance services for a major federal office and warehouse complex in Fort Worth, Texas. This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for the full scope of building operations - including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, vertical transportation, grounds, and building automation systems - across a large multi-building campus. You will lead a team of skilled tradespeople and supervisors, manage the customer relationship, and ensure the facility runs safely, reliably, and efficiently.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of authority for all contract and operational matters, representing the company in all communications with the customer.
• Direct and oversee day-to-day building operations and maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, vertical transportation, grounds, and building automation systems (BAS).
• Build and manage a staffing plan, including hiring, training, and supervising onsite supervisors, technicians, and support staff.
• Coordinate subcontractors and specialty trade partners as needed to fulfill service requirements.
• Own the quality control program, ensuring high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a strong, responsive working relationship with the customer's facility management representatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety programs, training requirements, and all applicable codes and regulations.
• Track and report on maintenance activity using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities operations and maintenance management, including project management or supervisory responsibility.
• Demonstrated experience managing building mechanical systems and maintenance operations in facilities of similar size and complexity (large-scale commercial or institutional campuses, 600,000+ square feet preferred).
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multi-trade teams and hold staff accountable to performance standards.
• Strong communication and customer relationship management skills.
• Ability to pass a background/security screening and obtain facility access credentials as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing operations and maintenance contracts for government or institutional facilities.
• Familiarity with building automation platforms such as Tridium Niagara, JCI/Metasys, or Siemens Apogee.
• Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS/NCMMS).
