Senior Software / CNO Developer
Columbia, Maryland
JOB DESCRIPTION
X8 is seeking a Senior Software / CNO Developer to provide embedded operations support, capability integration, and rapid prototyping for mission-critical cyber operations. This role collaborates with headquarters and local customers developing and integrate cutting-edge Computer Network Operations (CNO) tools.
The ideal candidate brings deep software-development experience, strong low-level programming skills, and the ability to independently research software and device vulnerabilities, document findings, and rapidly develop prototype demonstrations in classified mission environments.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
• Provide embedded operations support, capability integration, and rapid prototyping in support of the customer mission.
• Collaborate with headquarters and local customers to develop and integrate cutting-edge CNO tools.
• Conduct independent research into software and device vulnerabilities.
• Document technical findings and present results to mission and technical stakeholders.
• Develop software prototype demonstrations to evaluate and communicate new capabilities.
WHAT REQUIRED SKILLS YOU'LL BRING
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, OR a Master’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with software development, reverse engineering, vulnerability analysis, cybersecurity, AI/ML, cloud computing, and/or full-stack development.
• Hands-on software development experience using C/C++ and Python.
• Assembly-language experience on any platform or processor.
WHAT DESIRED SKILLS YOU'LL BRING
• Experience with C/C++, Java, Python, scripting languages, and Assembly; Linux, Windows, and mobile platforms; x86, ARM, or MIPS architectures; and CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, or another DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification.
