Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade or band is required. It is defined as one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (GS-12/13 equivalent or higher) in the Federal Service, which includes the following:
1) Supporting DoD acquisition activities for medical products or medical countermeasures through product development and acquisition milestones;
2) Coordinating medical-product or medical-countermeasure development activities subject to FDA regulatory requirements to support program decisions;
3) Preparing acquisition-program briefings for senior leaders on product-development status, regulatory risks, or milestone decisions; and
4) Providing support to junior acquisition professionals, including coaching, mentoring and training.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03)/GS-13.

Duties:
- Coordinate and develop procedures relating to the financial management, acquisition strategy, and logistical support services required by the project.
- Assist in the preparation of Requests for Proposal, Statements of Work, Contract Data Requirements Lists, specifications, and acquisition plans.
- Plan, conduct, and direct highly complex reviews and initiate reports which are provided to higher headquarters and other Department of Defense (DoD) commands with recommendations on the best courses of action for the project.
- Identifies and balances risks, selects alternatives, and plans how to best accomplish the goals and objectives of the project within recognized guidelines.
- Review and/or develop regulatory documentation for the acquisition project and recommend appropriate actions to obtain the approval.
- Reviews input from integrated logistics systems sites for appropriateness of requests, availability of resources, and compatibility with the integrated logistics effort.
- Project major milestones and events necessary for the strategic implementation of the acquisition project.
- Briefs senior management at the Department of Defense, Department of Army, and Program Executive Office Headquarters level on the status of the assigned programs.

- Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Practitioner certification within 60 months of entrance on duty.
- Must file a confidential Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.
- One year probationary period may be required.
